A modified design technique for linear phase 2D FIR filter using singular value decomposition

A modified approach for the design of two-dimensional digital filters using singular value decomposition is presented. It is shown that the filters designed by this approach require fewer multiplications. A linear phase response can be achieved for finite impulse response (FIR) designs.<>
