A new method for topological placement for predictable performance

A novel concept for topological module placement for predictable performance based on segmenting the layout surface into topological rings is introduced. The method can be applied to hierarchical layout systems. It is flexible in terms of design styles and module specifications. The resulting placement observes user-defined signal runtimes.<>
