Image reconstruction of 'Wave CT'

The author has proposed a superresolved wave CT (computed tomography) which includes wave properties, i.e., diffraction, refraction, reflection, and attenuation. The wave CT solves the Helmholtz equation, which has a complex wavenumber of both refractive index and attenuation coefficient, with a combination of finite and boundary element methods, and superresolved images are reconstructed (the wavelength and the object size are almost the same). In the case of human-body tomography, a radio wave of 50 MHz to 100 MHz in frequency is appropriate. The reconstruction error was 0.2% typically and 4% in the worst case.<>
