An influence of the measuring equipment properties upon the optimal excitation signal

A method for designing optimal excitation signals is presented, with particular emphasis given to the influence of measuring equipment properties. Errors of the model coefficients sought are modeled using the measurability matrix. Particular model coefficients are calculated according to the maximum likelihood algorithm. The optimal input signal determined by the method allows the determination of an unbiased estimator with smaller variance. Simulation confirms the influence of the measuring equipment properties on the optimal input spectrum.<>
