Microwave education in Belgium

The author points out that in Belgium, a small country with 10 million inhabitants in a 30000 km/sup 2/ area, engineering education is provided by seven universities and a military school in a five-year program, as well as by a limited number of schools in a four-year program. Microwave education within the universities is described. The link between research and education is emphasized, showing similarities and differences among the various centers of education. Specific microwave design expertise, capabilities, and facilities are described.<>
