A four station controller area network

The evaluation of the controller area network protocol (CAN) for high speed inter-controller communications is described. The features of the protocol are outlined, and a four station network discussed, using the example of the Rover 820. Optical data bus components are considered, and test equipment is briefly discussed.<>
