Activities of Research and Development Association for Future Electron Devices on bioelectronic devices

A Japanese national project 'Bioelectronic Devices Project' was started in 1986 to develop key technologies for designing and assembling innovative bio-mimetic devices with such functions as information processing of a living organism. The project focuses on such functions as plasticity, molecular recognition, and self-organization. Results of the project are described.<>
