A new method for calculation of reflections in the impulse model using single flow charts (SAW transducer)

A method by which the effects of finger reflections can be included in the impulse model is presented. A numerical technique using signal flow charts (SFC) makes it possible to include mechanical and electrical wave perturbations into the commonly used array factor. The method is valid for varying metallization ratios or dispersive structures as well as for different electrode polarity sequences of electrode connections and their spatial harmonic operation. The SFC algorithm leads to the full three-port description of the transducer. A novel virtual transduction weighting function is presented. It is a characteristic function describing the structure of any reflective transducer and an illustrative result of the SFC algorithm.<>
