Dielectric relaxation phenomena in ABS terpolymer

Molecular movements in acrylate-butadiene-styrene (ABS) terpolymer are responsible for dielectric energy losses that have been investigated by the thermally stimulated current (TSC) method. The high resolving power of TSC had made it possible to study the fine structure of the two intrinsic relaxation modes and to correlate them to the various chemical entities. The low-temperature mode has been attributed to the dielectric manifestation of the glass transition of acrylic sequences. The high-temperature mode has been associated with dielectric manifestation of the glass transition of the styrene-butadiene copolymeric sequences.<>
