Autonomous medical monitoring - is it possible?

This paper reviews the basis of physical measurement in medicine, examines its primary applications (age, weight, vital signs), and concludes that the medical measurement problem is intractable within the current practice. A workaround is proposed in form of a personal health monitor that supports autonomous medical care
