A Tool for Efficient Transferring of Triangular FEM Elements through Internet

This paper presents a tool for the efficient storing and transferring of triangular FEM elements. Firstly, triangular mesh is decimated. The decimated mesh preserves all the important geometric and topological features of the original mesh. Both meshes, the original and the decimated, are lossless, compressed by special-purpose data compressing algorithm.
