Assuring compatibility of rapid transit propulsion and signalling systems

The continuing quest for improved service and operational efficiency in rail transit systems has led to the use of newer designs in signalling and propulsion subsystems. Although these new designs have produced resource savings in these energy and cost-conscious times, they have the potential for generating electro-magnetic interference problems -- problems that also must be dealt with in a cost-effective manner.
