Joint decoders for the cascade of block-code and convolutional code

It is shown that the modification of the Viterbi algorithm is possible using the statistical dependence of the data to be coded. This modification improves the error-correcting capabilities of the Viterbi decoder. While the complexity of the decoder is not significantly increased, it is dependent on block synchronization.<>
