40 GHz hybrid mode-locked laser diode with impedance-matching circuit

40-GHz hybrid mode-locked laser diode with an impedance-matching circuit of a double-open-stub type was developed. A low timing jitter less than 0.5 ps was successfully achieved with a record low RF power (-20 dBm).
