A study on selection of video levels compromising dynamic false contour and gray scale rendition in PDP

Effective error measures are proposed to quantify false contours and error diffusion noise. By considering the trend of the errors, a method is presented that selects the proper number video levels compromising two conflicting issues of dynamic false contour (DFC) problem and gray scale rendition (GSR).
