A low power CMOS integrated circuit for implantable sensor

A low-power CMOS circuit for implantable sensor applications that converts the analog current output from the sensor into a square wave signal is presented. The frequency of the square wave output is proportional to the sensor current. The entire transmitter part of the sensor is integrated in a single CMOS chip requiring very low power dissipation. There is an on-chip voltage regulator to provide 1.0 V for rest of the circuits. The design has been completed in 0.35mum standard CMOS process. Test results are included
