Efficient routing algorithms for hierarchical optical transport networks

Automatically switched optical networks (ASON) specifications strongly recommends a hierarchical network architecture. In this paper authors propose three hierarchical routing algorithms, aiming to optimize the global network performance, while guaranteeing scalability.
