The housing affordability for the population in Tomsk area

This paper is focusing on the housing affordability problem in Russia and Tomsk Area. A few approaches of the housing affordability index calculations are examined. The housing affordability and householder's opportunity to save up money to purchase a home in Tomsk Area are estimated. The conclusion about the low housing affordability as main difficulties for establishing home ownership and housing market in Russia was arrived.
