Correlation of MIMO antenna and its evaluation

Even though antenna separation is not enough (the sample antennas are a pair of dual band PCB antennas within 80/spl times/12mm dimensions), the correlation coefficient is not close to unity and performance of the MIMO system is maintained. The experiments indicate that a MIMO system can achieve a good performance even for antennas with correlation coefficient |/spl gamma/| /spl les/ 0.5 and 0.05/spl lambda/ of the closest distance between the antenna elements.
