Remote car starter

This paper discusses the design and implementation of a "remote car starter"; this device is intended to allow a user to start his car from the house, office, or school. The goal is to set up a good temperature in the car, which is going to be possible thanks to the heater and air conditioning of the automobile. The benefits of having a "remote starter" are the following: starting the car from distance, and being able to set it up to run for 5, 10, or 15 minutes; entering a car that is hot in winter or cold in summer; taking care of the car, because it is always better to let the car warm up before driving. The paper explains the design of a "remote starter" for a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta, but the concepts explained are useful for any kind of car.
