Characterization of a new, low cost composite substrate material

A new polypropylene and nano-clay powder composite material is investigated for use as an economic planar autenna substrate. Dielectric constant, loss tangent, and thermal properties have been examined. The results show that the dielectric properties are comparable to those of commercial substrate materials.
