A systolic mapping for the estimator block of an adaptive vibration/sound canceller

A class of an actively adaptive algorithm, which reduces unwanted vibration/sound in a system, consists of a cascade of a recursive least squares parameter estimator and a controller block. A linear model with unknown parameters is investigated for this system. A parallel VLSI implementation is developed for the recursive least squares parameter estimator block required in this context. This would provide enhanced processing speed, much sought for in real-time applications.<
