Mobility prediction based service location and delivery

This paper presents a novel framework for a predictive service initiation and delivery. The robustness of the proposed work is the result of a two-fold contribution. The first is the utilization of knowledge about user preferences, goals, and analyzed spatial conceptual maps to predict the user future location and traveling trajectory. The second contribution is a predictive server selection and handoff scheme that reduces the experienced end-to-end-delay and jitter. Automatic selection of future servers is achieved using knowledge about the user's preferences and QoS requirements. These requirements are then combined with knowledge about the user's previously projected trajectory to initiate and seamlessly deliver services to the mobile users along their travelled path.
