Power management of wireless OEM devices

Energy drives the 21/sup st/ century economy in all walks of life. With the impending depletion of natural energy reservoirs and limited renewable energy sources, energy generation and its efficient utilization are of paramount importance in emerging information economy. It is believed that nearly 25% of electric energy is consumed by wireless OEM devices in major cities and densely populated areas. Battery chargers and "idle" electronic equipment consume over 15% of electric energy which is a pure waste of our precious natural resources. Energy conservation and preservation of clean environment go hand-in-hand in developing new energy-related technologies. This talk will address key opportunities and novel technologies that could revolutionize energy management of wireless ODM and OEM devices of the future.
