Delay oriented OLSR

We show the impact of using delay routing on network performances. We proposed an extension of the OLSR (optimized link state routing) protocol taking end-to-end delay as a metric. The critical part of this work is the estimation of the one hop delay by each node, based mainly on Hello control packets statistics and MAC 802.11 layer specification. Delay-OLSR is implemented on ns-2. Simulations show that, under good conditions the end-to-end measured delay is closer to the delay-OLSR estimated delay.
