Additionally, the increasing complexity of interconnected power systems and their related controls leads to the designation of precise and wherever possible, common - security standards, coupled with sophisticated analysis tools. The aforementioned scenario has prompted private development of an online dynamic security assessment system, whose characteristics the paper describes. A functional overview of the system's modules, ranging from data acquisition to processing and storage, as well as the display functions, is provide herein.
