Server architectures for interactive multimedia applications

As the number of users of an interactive multimedia application increases, the performance of the server serving the users may decrease significantly and fail to satisfy the expectation of the users. In this paper, we investigate issues that are important in the design of server architectures for supporting interactive multimedia applications.
