Psychophysical sensor design and softhaptic interface for teleoperated robotic services via the Internet

This paper discusses the sensor design, user friendly interface and effective teleoperation schemes based on the theory of psychophysics and using a novel network transport protocol specifically designed for interactive tele-manipulation applications. Experimental studies are included to show the validity of the proposed system scheme.
