A permeable spheroidal shield of an almost uniform thickness

In this paper, we describe the approximation of the shell by two spheroidal boundaries S/sub i/ and S/sub e/ which are concentric, coaxial but are non-confocal, providing a better approximation of significantly elongated shields of uniform thickness.
