Wireless continuous wave near infrared imager

Near infrared spectroscopy is a novel method to monitor the hemodynamic activity of the brain. Various techniques and devices have been developed to utilize this method in various fields such as education, psychology and neuroscience. However, current devices do not enable complete freedom of motion so limit the fields where this technology can be used. In this paper the first prototype wireless continuous wave near infrared imager was described. The aim of this design is to produce a miniaturized, wearable, affordable, noninvasive system that can monitor hemodynamic brain activity.
