A new non-linear processor (NLP) for background continuity in echo control

A new non-linear processor design is presented for echo control based on the use of spectral modeling and limiting non-linear functions. The objective of the proposed design is to suppress further the residual echo left after the adaptive canceller while preserving the continuity of coherent background signals such as music.
