A digital simulation strategy for the block-structured control systems

A hybrid strategy utilizing the equivalent-transition, fitting-transition, and predictor-corrector methods is developed for simulating a block-structured system. A block-structured control system is a coupling of functional blocks. Each of these functional blocks stands for a subsystem in the original system. In control systems, a functional block can be classified into two categories: linear and nonlinear. Linear blocks (i.e. units described by differential equations, state-space models, differentiators, etc.) and nonlinear blocks (i.e. units described by algebraic functions) are discussed. The simulation strategy is developed to analyze general control systems.<>
