Tools for the validation of EUROCRYPT conditional access functions

The author gives a brief description of the EUROCRYPT access control standard which is used in the France Telecom VISIOPASS D2MAC/Packet television system. A smart card and decoder allow access to encoded TV broadcasts. The author then describes the test equipment which is used to make sure EUROCRYPT systems conform to the standard.<>
