Field Based Coastal and Estuarine Statistical Indices of Marine Degradation

This paper provides a statistical basis that has led to the development of a crystal cube of eleven indices under consideration for the purposes of interpreting 'unreasonable' coastal and estuarine degradation. This is illustrated by an example of an index based on the reproductive success of marine birds on the east coast.
