Sampling volume probed by frequency-domain photon migration measurements

Using probability distribution analysis to describe the propagation of multiply-scattered light in scattering media such as tissues, the volume sampled by NIR techniques was assessed analytically and then compared to experimental measurements of frequency-domain photon migration (FDPM).
