Signal processing methodologies of intracranial pressure measurements for the compliance characterization

IntraCranial Pressure (ICP) is a parameter of fundamental importance in case of head injuries. In fact, information on the intracranial compliance can be derived that are important in the assessment of the health status of the patient. In this paper novel ICP signal processing methodologies are presented for the characterization of the intracranial compliance. A large set of experimental data has been processed for patients in various clinical conditions. The results obtained show the suitability of the proposed approach.
