Automatic Power Supply Design Tool Selection in the Online-CADCOM platform

The paper is focused on extending the functionalities of the platform Online-CADCOM with e-content for free online power supply design tools/platforms. The methodology to add the new feature is proposed, eight new tools are selected, the e-content with characterization passports for these tools is created and inserted in the platform. Three categories - mandatory, desirable, and optional criteria and options for selecting an online power supply design tool and the classification of the tools providing the options in the criteria, are added to the Knowledge Base. With this extension, the Dynamic Expert module, implementing decision making methods, can recommend and rank tools for a given specification. An example of automatic tool selection to design a DC-DC converter is given to illustrate the new feature of Online-CADCOM.
