Hardware and Software Implementation of a Secure Data Communication System with a Chaotic Carrier

The paper explore issues of software and hardware implementation of a secure data transmission system built on the basis of dynamic chaos phenomena. In the receiver design procedure we use a synergetic state observer providing restoring a useful signal after transmission. Useful signal embedding into chaotic carrier is provided by modulating the parameters of the mathematical model of the chaotic oscillator. The paper focuses on the software and hardware implementation of such a system based on a model-oriented approach to design using the Matlab system and a Raspberry Pi single-board computer. The paper presents an example of the synthesis of a synergetic state observer for the chaotic Genesio-Tesi system. A prototype of a system implementing the transmission and recovery of a useful signal with a chaotic carrier, operating on the Raspberry Pi platform, has been obtained.
