An Improved IFFT Synthesis Algorithm on Ultra-Large Element Spacing Arrays Thinning

In this paper, we propose an improved IFFT synthesis algorithm on ultra-large element spacing arrays thinning and demonstrate the characteristic of wide-angle scanning without grating lobes by two examples. The most highlight is that the arrays in the examples achieve a low-sidelobe performance and avoid the appearance of grating lobes while scanning even if the element antenna size is larger than one or even several times of the wavelength. Besides that, advantage of the algorithm in fast synthesis of large-scale arrays is fully reflected.
