Frequency-Scanning Serpentine Ridge Waveguide Slot Linear Array

A novel frequency scanning waveguide slot antenna array is proposed in this paper. The array has the frequency scanning performance in one dimension. Waveguide slot array antennas are commonly used in microwave and millimeter-wave bands, typically with narrow slots cut into metal waveguides to couple electromagnetic waves from the waveguide into free space. In this paper, The slow-wave structure has been used to achieve the compact structure, a 36 element serpentine ridge waveguide antenna model with a center frequency of 15.35 GHz is designed. The antenna achieves low sidelobe frequency scanning with a scanning range of -30° to 30°, enabling wide-angle scanning.
