Image Encryption Using Chaotic Logistic Map and Arnold Cat Transform for Secure Visual Data Transfer

Visual data protection during insecure channel transmission requires image encryption protocols. The proposed encryption framework integrates the Chaotic Logistic Map with the Arnold Cat Transform to ensure secure transmission of visual data. Traditional image security techniques face challenges, including high computational requirements, limited key availability, and inadequate countermeasures against statistical threats. A highly sensitive pseudo-random key stream originates from the Chaotic Logistic Map, which generates encryption keys used to protect pixel values. Spatial security increases through the simultaneous application of the Arnold Cat Transform, which reorders pixel positions in a specific manner. The combined approach expands key generation possibilities while making keys more difficult to decipher through traditional and statistical methods and lowers processing requirements. The developed technique offers superior effectiveness for live data transmission, protected medical image transfer, and confidential multimedia distribution. The experiments demonstrate that encrypted images exhibit high entropy values, low adjacent pixel correlation, and strong sensitivity to initial conditions, indicating a secure method.
