Visual Monitoring Method of Urban Rail Communication Equipment Room Based on 3D Reconstruction

Urban rail transit communication equipment room integrates the core functional equipment of each subspecialty of the communication system, which is an important component of the communication system. In view of the large number of internal equipment and complex wiring in the current urban rail transit communication equipment room, regular manual inspection leads to low fault discovery and maintenance efficiency and high labor cost. A visual monitoring method of communication equipment room based on 3D reconstruction is proposed, and a three-dimensional reality model is constructed to assist remote inspection and fault detection. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of 3D reconstruction methods including traditional methods, NERF and 3D Gaussian splatting, a set of 3D Gaussian splatting visual monitoring method for communication equipment room is designed based on the requirements of efficient construction and rapid update of visual monitoring model. The combination of manual and robot is used to realize automatic image acquisition and update, the COLMAP tool is used for data processing, and the 3DGS model is trained. After training, the three-dimensional model is exported to facilitate remote monitoring, and at the same time, the operation and maintenance personnel are assisted in fault diagnosis when the equipment fails.
