IoT-Based Smart Water Quality Monitoring System for Sustainable Koi Fish Farming

Temperature and pH levels are critical parameters for assessing water quality in fish ponds, particularly in koi fish ponds. Koi fish are ornamental fish with high market prices, and maintaining optimal water quality is crucial for their successful cultivation. When the water quality is ideal, the fish can grow and thrive at their best. This system enables koi fish breeders to easily monitor and control water quality, allowing real-time adjustments through a smartphone to maintain the water within specific parameters.After testing, the system can automatically regulate temperature and pH levels if they deviate from the set parameters. Additionally, during sensor calibration, the temperature and pH sensors showed average errors of 0.96% and 1.08%, respectively. The average communication delay via MQTT was 0.7 seconds.
