Quantitative evaluation of optical dysphotopsias in IOLs

This study presents the proposal of an optical system designed for the quantitative analysis of optical dysphotopsia in intraocular lenses (IOLs). To conduct the analyses, an experimental setup was assembled on an optical table, based on simulations performed using ray-tracing software. The system performance was evaluated through PSF and MTF analysis, comparing experimental and simulated results. The analysis results indicate distinct optical behaviors between the tested IOLs, demonstrating the system effectiveness in characterizing dysphotopsia imparted by different lens designs.
