A Virtual Equipment Modeling Method for Railway Signal Based on Digital Twin

With the intelligent development of railway transportation, the traditional railway signal system has limitations in real-time monitoring and fault feedback. Based on digital twin technology, this paper presents a modeling method for virtual equipment of railway signal. Firstly, a five-dimensional model framework of signal based on digital twin, including physical entity, virtual entity, application service, twin data and connection network, is proposed. Secondly, the geometric model, physical model and behavior model of the signal are constructed. Finally, the real-time monitoring and feedback function of virtual equipment signal state is simulated and verified. The experimental results show that the proposed model can accurately demonstrate the real operation state of the physical entity, and verify the feasibility of the application of digital twin technology in the railway signal equipment.
