Robust Tracking Control of Micro Gas Turbine Using Model Reference Adaptive Control

Gas turbines, a promising clean energy technology, have attracted substantial research interest across academic and industrial communities. However, during actual operation, gas turbines are often subject to parametric uncertainties and unknown disturbances, which can lead to degradation in control performance. Specifically, achieving accurate different conditions tracking in the presence of such uncertainties and disturbances presents a considerable challenge. In this paper, an adaptive control strategy based on Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) is proposed for effective rotational vary operations tracking of gas turbines. The simulation results reveal that the proposed adaptive approach exhibits superior transient performance compared to conventional methods, achieving minimized overshoot and reduced settling time. This study provides a robust solution for improving the reliability of Micro gas turbines in complex energy systems.
