Optimization of the Processes of Monitoring the Energy Parameters of Computer Systems

Currently, systems for monitoring the energy parameters of facilities are becoming more popular, since such monitoring can help prevent an emergency situation, identify abnormal operation of equipment, evaluate the economic efficiency of using equipment, etc. Energy consumption is the most important operational parameter of computer facilities. Therefore, the study of optimization of the processes of monitoring the energy parameters of computer systems is of great interest. The classical theory of monitoring control, based on the use of the Kalman filter and control of the accuracy of its filtration, provides great opportunities for optimizing monitoring. Therefore, it seems relevant to study the features of the practical application of the classical apparatus for optimizing the monitoring of energy parameters of computer systems. The article provides a practical study of the possibility of using the observation optimization method in relation to the tasks of optimizing the monitoring of energy parameters of computer systems under conditions of observation time constraints. The significance of the research is confirmed by a numerical experiment, in which a relative gain in the accuracy of estimating energy consumption was obtained by 14.5% compared with the initial observation plan.
