Enhanced PV-Based Wireless EV Charging With High Gain Z-Source Converter And Intelligent Optimized MPPT Control

Due to the increasing demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions in Wireless Electric Vehicle (EV) charging necessitates advanced power conversion and control strategies. This paper proposes an advanced PV energy conversion system using a fuzzy-based Red Panda Optimized (RPO) MPPT for efficient power extraction, combined with a High Gain Z-Source Converter (HGZSC) for robust voltage boosting. The system employs a high-frequency inverter and high-frequency isolation transformer to improve power quality and isolation for protecting the input and source side from power quality issues. An interleaved synchronous rectifier ensures reduced conduction losses, enhancing overall efficiency by converting AC into DC power. Furthermore, a Proportional-Integral (PI) controlled PWM generation strategy regulates the output voltage, ensuring stable charging of the EV battery. The validation of the proposed topology is done by MATLAB/Simulink, which shows effectiveness of proposed approach in achieving optimal performance under varying environmental conditions.
