Evaluation of Characteristics of Road Network in Henan Province Base on Knowledge Graph and Spatial Syntax

Regional economic construction and people's demand for a better life have put forward higher requirements for road traffic networks. However, the fragile network structure and unreasonable network configuration are among the most important problems facing the current road networks. Taking the road traffic network of Henan Province as an example and using multi-type data such as Digital Elevation Model (DEM), Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and population data, the evaluation of characteristics of provincial and municipal road network accessibility in Henan Province was conducted by using knowledge graph, Space Syntax and linear correlation analysis innovatively. Based on the established knowledge graph of road network in Henan Province, we used Space Syntax to assess the structure of provincial and municipal road network and analyzed the correlation between the development of the road network and both population growth and economic development. On the basis of qualitative and quantitative studies, we gived the description of the road network morphology in Henan Province and offered practical suggestions to optimize the road network structure of Henan Province and promote regional development.
