Exploration and Practice: the Construction of an Undergraduate Oriented Full English Course on 3D City Modeling in China

The demand for high-quality international talents in the field of Geoinformatics is increasing day by day. Under the background of global informatization and internationalization of higher education, the imbalance between the supply and demand of international talents in real three-dimensional urban construction is an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, this paper proposes the construction of a full English course on 3D city modeling for undergraduates. By analyzing the necessity of constructing this course, discussing the construction objectives, system, and effectiveness of this course, and dissecting the problems existing in the construction of this course, we aim to lay a foundation for cultivating international talents with real three-dimensional modeling skills. This paper can provide some reference for the construction of full English courses in the fields of surveying, mapping, and geographical information.
